21.07.2010
The Urals Mining and Metallurgic Company (UMMC) is looking for investors to finance $2.85bn projects to build two coal power stations, the company reports.

Under plans, the company, in partnership with investors, is to build a $1.8bn Demidovskaya TPS thermal power station in Sverdlovsk region and $1.05bn Slavinskaya TPS thermal power station in Kemerovo region.

The Demidovskaya TPS, with power capacity of 1,000 MW, is reportedly to be located outside Sverdlovsk region’s town of Staroutkinsk. Its first power block is scheduled to be put into commission in 2016, and its second power unit is to be launched in 2018.

The Slavinskaya TPS, with power capacity of 500 MW, is scheduled to be put into commission in 2015-2016 in Kemerovo region’s Novokuznetsk’s district.
