Boeing and VSMPO-AVISMA are building up Innovation Research and Development Center

Farnborough, GB – Boeing company and PSC VSMPO-AVISMA declared of building up the joint innovation research and development center of titanium production practices and materials.
Within the framework of this project Boeing and VSMPO-AVISMA will jointly develop the new titanium alloys to use in production of the Boeing civil aircrafts and Russia aviation branch.
Boeing and VSMPO-AVISMA will finance the Research and Development center on a parity basis. All the evaluation results and developments will equally belong to both the companies.
VSMPO-AVISMA is the LTA partner and supplier of titanium parts to Boing. The first contract between the corporations was signed dd. 1997, when Boeing placed the first order at the Russian titanium producer.
