Fixed asset investment climbs in 2011
25.01.2012
Fixed asset investment in Russia rose over 6% in 2011 on the back of a favorable macroeconomic situation, growing government orders and a better competitive environment, President Dmitry Medvedev said today during a meeting of the economy modernization commission.
The president went on to call for a better return on investment in the Russian economy, pointing out that doing business in Russia remains a "complex and risky affair."
According to earlier reports, fixed asset investment went up 5.6% year-on-year in January-November 2011 and stood at 6% in 2010.
